Health Guarantee

1 Year Health Guarantee

Our Commitment

Pure Maine coon Cats is committed to raising healthy, well cared for Maine coon kittens in the UAE. This Health Guarantee explains what you can expect from us, what we provide at the time of pickup, and what responsibilities sit with the buyer after the kitten goes home. The purpose is clarity. Kittens are living animals and no breeder can promise a lifetime without illness, injury, or unexpected medical needs. What we can promise is responsible care, accurate records, transparent communication, and a fair process if a serious health issue is diagnosed within the guarantee period. A copy of this guarantee is provided with your kitten’s documents.

1 Year Health Guarantee

Pure Maine coon Cats provides a 1 year health guarantee from the kitten’s pickup date. This guarantee covers life affecting congenital conditions and serious hereditary defects that a licensed veterinarian confirms as genetic in origin, within 12 months of pickup.

To keep the guarantee valid, the buyer must follow the veterinary exam requirement and the care responsibilities listed on this page.

Lifetime Assistance

Every kitten placed by Pure Maine coon Cats includes lifetime assistance for the family. Support is available for questions about feeding, grooming, coat care, litter routines, introductions to other pets, behavior during adjustment, and general Maine coon ownership guidance. Families can reach out at any stage, whether the kitten is settling in or fully grown.

Lifetime assistance is guidance and support and does not replace veterinary care. Medical concerns should always be evaluated by a licensed veterinarian.

What You Receive With Your Kitten

Each kitten leaves our care with the following: Vaccination record showing what has been administered and the dates completed Deworming record and recommended follow up schedule Basic care guidance for feeding, litter, grooming, and home setup Written Health Guarantee terms that match what is described on this page A kitten that is alert, active, eating well, and free of visible signs of illness on the day of pickup

Families may request additional current photos and a short update close to pickup day. If a kitten shows signs of illness before pickup, placement may be delayed until the kitten is well.

Health Status at the Time of Pickup

Kittens are released only when they are: Eating solid food reliably and maintaining healthy weight gain Using the litter box consistently Well hydrated, bright eyed, and active Free from obvious signs of contagious illness such as fever, heavy nasal discharge, severe diarrhea, or persistent coughing

A kitten can experience mild stress from a change of home, car travel, or routine changes. Temporary reduced appetite or brief adjustment behaviors can happen. Families are encouraged to keep the first days calm, keep food consistent, and follow the transition guidance provided.

Buyer Veterinary Examination Requirement

To keep this guarantee valid, the buyer must take the kitten to a licensed veterinarian in the UAE within 72 hours of pickup. The exam must include a full physical assessment. If your vet recommends tests due to symptoms, those tests should be completed promptly.

If the buyer does not complete a veterinary exam within 72 hours, the guarantee becomes void, except where prohibited by applicable local consumer rules.

The buyer must keep written proof of the exam date and outcome.

Short Term Health Coverage for Pre Existing Infectious Illness

If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses the kitten with a serious contagious illness that was likely present before pickup, within 7 days of pickup, the buyer must notify us immediately and provide: Veterinary written diagnosis Test results where applicable Treatment plan and receipts Clear timeline of symptoms

If confirmed, we will work with the buyer toward one of the following outcomes, based on circumstances:
Reimbursement of reasonable treatment costs up to an agreed limit
Replacement kitten from a future litter when available
Partial refund in cases where replacement is not preferred

This coverage does not include mild, easily treatable issues that can arise from stress or environmental changes, unless they become severe and are confirmed as pre existing and significant.

Genetic and Congenital Coverage Within the 1 Year Guarantee

This guarantee covers life affecting congenital conditions and serious hereditary defects that a licensed veterinarian confirms as genetic in origin, within 12 months of the kitten’s pickup date.

To make a claim, the buyer must provide:
Veterinary written diagnosis
Supporting evidence such as imaging, specialist reports, or laboratory results
A clear statement that the condition is congenital or genetic and significantly affects quality of life

If a covered condition is confirmed within the guarantee period, the buyer may choose one of the following:
Replacement kitten from a future litter, when available
Partial refund toward the purchase price
Return of the kitten for a full refund, if the buyer and breeder agree this is the most humane and practical option

The specific remedy depends on severity, the medical facts, and what is best for the kitten’s welfare.

What This Guarantee Does Not Cover

The following are not covered: Illness or injury caused by accidents, falls, household hazards, or improper handling Illness caused by exposure after pickup, including contact with unvaccinated or sick animals Parasites or infections acquired after pickup Stress related digestive upset linked to sudden food change, overfeeding, or unsafe treats Neglect, dehydration, poor hygiene, or failure to follow basic care Failure to complete the required vet exam within 72 hours Costs related to routine care such as vaccines, deworming, grooming, and wellness checks Non life threatening cosmetic concerns, minor bite alignment issues, or normal coat variation Behavioral outcomes influenced by home environment, handling, or lack of social time

Maine coon kittens can take time to adjust to new surroundings. Normal settling behavior is not considered a health defect.

Buyer Responsibilities After Pickup

To support health and keep this guarantee valid, the buyer agrees to: Provide fresh water daily and a safe indoor living environment Feed a quality diet suitable for kittens and avoid sudden food changes Maintain a clean litter area and safe resting space Keep the kitten separated from unknown animals during the first weeks Complete vaccinations and deworming on schedule with a licensed veterinarian Use safe transport and avoid unnecessary travel during early adjustment Contact a vet promptly if signs of illness appear

Preventive care makes a major difference in long term health, especially in a hot climate.

How to Make a Claim

If you suspect a health issue covered under this guarantee: Contact us immediately with the kitten’s name and pickup date Visit a licensed veterinarian as soon as possible Send clear documentation including diagnosis, test results, and receipts Follow the treatment plan and keep a written timeline of symptoms

Delays can reduce treatment success and can make it harder to determine whether an issue was pre existing.

Replacement and Refund Terms

Any refund, replacement, or reimbursement under this guarantee is limited to the kitten purchase price unless otherwise agreed in writing. Travel costs, hotel stays, time off work, and third party shipping are not covered.

Replacement kittens depend on availability. Color, gender, and timing cannot be guaranteed. If a replacement is chosen, the buyer will be offered a kitten of similar value from a future litter.

In cases where the kitten must be returned, return arrangements must be agreed first to protect the kitten’s welfare.

Emergency Care

If the kitten is unwell, seek veterinary care immediately. The kitten’s health comes first. Contact us as soon as possible after the vet visit so we can understand the situation and support next steps.
